Look at that cute little man! He is getting to be quite the little chunk. At 9 1/2 months he is extremely active and does not sit in one place for very long. I think that is why he hates to sleep, and ride in the car, he thinks he might miss something. He is definitely not a snuggle bug. He won't sit still long enough to cuddle, unless you start reading his favorite book. He has a book called "I love you Daddy" and if he hears you start reading (even if he's in another room) he runs over plops down beside you and starts looking intently at the pages. The book is very appropriate because Avery is very much a daddy's boy. If Zac leaves the apartment Avery runs to the door and starts crying.
He pretty much walks all around the apartment now that he is efficient at it. Well actually, I should say he stumbles around the apartment. There are so many toys on the floor that he just tromps right over them. When he has a clear path there is no stopping him. Zac and I spent a couple hours driving around town looking for shoes for him at consignment stores, but weren't having much luck. Finally we found a huge childrens consignment store and struck gold! We got him a cute pair of kicks that look brand new for $2.50.
Bath time is still one of his favorite times of the day. I think he has just as many toys for the bath, as he does for regular playing, but his favorite toy in the bath tub is a small shampoo bottle from one of the hotels we stayed at on our trip.
His new favorite thing to do is brush his teeth. He thought it was so funny when mommy or daddy brushed their teeth so one day while I was at work Zac gave him his own tooth brush. He walks around with it hanging out of his mouth...I know, I know, a safety issue...but it's just so cute!
