Finally...playing with a REAL toy!

Things to remember at 11 months

-Weighs 18lbs

-Still wearing 9month clothing (come on Avery grow a little!)

-No longer walks, but RUNS everywhere

-Proficent at climbing 3 flights of stairs

-Spits out everything we put in his mouth...except milk

-Has mastered the art of throwing food on the floor

-Claps, signs more, milk and "all done" when you ask him too (or when HE feels like responding (:)

-Still loves to brush his teeth (only if he does it himself though!)

-Is very independent

-Does not like to cuddle but is still the sweetest boy ever
-Still loves to take a bath

-Loves to jump on the bed (are we allowed to let him do that? I mean we are the ones bouncing him...could be conseqences to that later on.)

-Still HATES riding in the car...unless he is thoroughly entertained.

-Sleeps in the closet and never complains about it

-Loves to read "I love you daddy" and "If Jesus lived inside my heart"

-Has more toys then any one kid should ever have (thanks PawPaw for keeping him well supplied (:)

-Never stops moving

-Has the most adorable laugh on this planet

Gosh we love that kid. I say it all the time and I will say it again...what a tremendous blessing he is to us. Time for another one???

More Ice Festival...at night!

11 months old

Look at that cute lil puppy dawg! I can't believe he is 11 months old today...seriously where has the time gone. Zac and I get a bit teary eyed when we start thinking he will not be a baby for much longer. He is our favorite little man and we don't know what we would do without him.

Photo Op

When we were at Chena Hot Springs visiting, probably about 75% of the people we saw were from Japan. They say that couples from Japan come up here on vacation to see the northern lights...something about it being good luck for having a baby??? I haven't really researched it so I am not sure the accuracy of that but I can say that everyone from Japan that we met wanted to hold Avery and take his picture. I didn't get any pictures of them cause I didn't know if it would be rude to take a picture of them taking a picture of Avery :) Whenever we would pass a group they would hold out their arms as if saying they wanted to hold Avery and then someone would take a picture of them. They often motioned me to get in the picture too. It was very funny. Who knows we might be on the front page in a newspaper in Japan somewhere! This is the restuarant at Chena Hot Springs where we did most of our photo shoots with the people from Japan :)

Chena Hot Springs

We ventured out to Chena Hot Springs on saturday. It is about an hour ride from Fairbanks, but it is a beautiful trip. No one actually got in the hot spring but we felt the water and it felt goooood and the ducks love it! :) They also have flight seeing tours, dog mushing rides, horse back riding, and a restaurant.
