We started our morning off at 3:15am, were out the door at 4:15am and hitting the water at 5:15am. We boarded the Fin Galley with Captain Craig, and witnessed a beautiful sunrise as we headed 50 miles off shore. After about 1 hour and 45mins we arrived at our fishing destination. We baited our hooks and within 20 seconds had our first fish on the line!!! For the next 45mins it was a fish frenzy, pulling in Dolphin fish left and right. JJ immediately snagged an enormous bull dolphin fish, but it took him a while to real it in. Not long after pulling in the bull he hooked another huge cow (this is what the first mate Tom called them). After pulling in 60 dolphin fish, we had reached our limit and had to move on to catching something else. About 1 hour later we hooked a Sailfish and I got in the fightin chair to reel it in, so much FUN!! The rest of the day we caught a few more dolphin fish here and there but had to throw them back. All in all it was a GREAT day!

Only the Beginning
We started our trip to the Outer Banks on Friday, staying the night in Raleigh with JJ and Teran and heading to the beach on saturday. Zac drove while me and mom battled it out in scrabble on her new ipad. I have to say having that kind of distraction made the trip go by SO much faster, Zac however thought the trip took forever.

SPLASH COUNTRY
Went to Splash Country with Levi and Cora last Friday...SO MUCH FUN! I haven't been to a water park in years and I forgot how much fun it was. Waiting in line is not my favorite thing but lucky for us the lines were not so bad. The kids were just big enough to ride some of the bigger rides this year so they really had a blast. They didn't want to leave, but they were both asleep before we even pulled out of the parking lot.
I think he might be excited...

Love and Photos
I love my husband!!! For my birthday he got a professional to take some pictures of us. We didn't have much time between when we met and when we got married and our wedding came up so quickly we just never had engagement photos taken. My mom had taken some great shots of us and we were content with that at the time. Zac knew that I had been a little disappointed with our wedding photographer so this was the perfect gift! Derrah Ledford (D Photography) took some amazing pictures of us up at Wilson Lick Cabins and Wayah Bald. I have to admit though that Zac and I were a little awkward at the shoot. It seemed really strange having our picture taken for two hours and at first we were REALLY stiff. But in spite of that Derrah came up with some really incredible pictures! It was taking so long to load I only posted a few but will post more on facebook.

"The Word works IF you work it" -Pastor Sherry

Spent the day up at Wayah Bald reading, praying and seeking God's will for our lives. It is amazing to study God's word way up in the mountains. For some reason I feel like I understand the Word much better and can think clearer. Zac and I saw a real church in operation this past weekend, preaching the Word and ministering to those in need. We were so blessed to see a ministry actually being/doing what God has called us to do.

Decisions
Getting a glimpse of the bigger picture?
Zac and I are in a holding pattern. We have some decisions ahead of us that we are having a hard time seeing a clear picture of what God wants us to do. We are completely 100% open to whatever direction He takes us, we just can't seem to get a handle on where He is leading. Have you ever thought you knew the direction you should take, and even started down that path confident that you were doing the right thing only to be stopped dead in your tracks by circumstances that would suggest otherwise? I am hanging onto Isaiah 30:21 "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying "This is the way, walk in it". We know that God works all things for our good, and always leads us to triumph and we are confident that as we seek first Him and His Kingdom that every thing else will be added. His word says that we have everything that we need for life and for godliness and knowing that makes each day seem a little brighter.
