Ok, time for a mother to get a little teary eyed. Since Avery just turned TWO I have been going back through all his baby pictures and reminicsing. People certainly were not kidding when they told us that if we blinked we would miss him growing up. When you are little it seems like you will be little forever, but as we start to mature in years (:) I'm not old YET) time has a tendency to FLY by. Just wanted to take a few minutes to remember some things about my son at this time in his life.
Avery's Idiosyncracies
- Still sleeps in a crib
- Asks for his "baayket" as soon as you take him out of the crib (A blanket my mother knitted for him and he has slept with since birth), wants it at dinner, in the shower, and to drag it through the dust in the garage...he's a little attached
-Eats in his own time, his own way, and at his OWN speed...his diet consists of bread, peanut butter, and more bread :/
-Carries a tooth brush around all day acting like he is brushing his teeth, but acts like it's an act of torture when Zac and I brush his teeth everynight.
-Watches and Asks for "Curious George" a little more then any human being ought
-Has successfully peed on the potty....ummm 3 times (all an accident I'm sure)
-Cutest phrase to date "I lover trees"
-When he knows he's in trouble, tries to give you a kiss
-Has successfully (hope I don't jinx this) mastered sleeping through the night...FINALLY
-New favorite movie is TOY STORY (got it for his birthday) he has managed to watch it 3,459 times in the last 3 days (Zac has a hard time saying no)
-Loves to crank the music up in the car and do a little "car dancing" (so cute to watch)
-Although his Nana got him a tool set for his birthday, he still insists on carrying a REAL "driver" around (Come on Bekah, just take it away....it's dangerous...we switch it out for a very small, less pointy, yet still real one.)
